well found out my cdi is shot. anyone got a cdi for a 1992 blaster? if its a handout im very thankful, but if i gotta buy one no biggie, saw prices, is it alright to order one from vitos? how much would 1 straight from yamaha cost? as in dealership anyways lol

what does the cdi look like? i may have one but then again it may have gotten thrown away so i will have to check

its got a black wire, a black with white stripe, black with red stripe, and an orange wire, its the one that the stator/magneto hooks into. lil black box, with those wires

well dealership said 80, online says 20 on ebay to 50 at vitos and 50-60 from oem parts finders.

ummm got 1 off ebay for 25 shipped, sorry, friend thats helpin me restore is impatient...lol
hopefully a 98 will work with a 92 should, they used the same case from an out of date dirt bike so....lol

i don't see why it wouldn't work, it was the exact same engine from 88 to 06, maybe the connections might be different but prob not, and even then its nothing to fix that

I've got that CDI box and their coil on my blaster and have had NO issues at all, I also have the "Rickystator" high output (lighting coil) W/adjustable timing plate and it fires and ROCKS every time!, been on there for about 100hrs or so now!
