Check those base nuts to torque spec, might be loose which causes the leak.
If still leaks replace the gaskets before you lean out!

Might as well pull the jug off and replace the base, head, and exhaust gaskets before something really goes wrong and you are into it more money

How do you know if you have a leaky Jug??

Here is my problem Early Spring I took the Jug of becasue when I was putting the new reed spacer on I dropped a bolt through it and had to take the jug off to get it out. The gasket still looked good so I just put it back on, it has run fine ever since riding around the house but over the weekend when I took it out for a little off road ride everytime I would wind it out it would scream until I hit 4th and then it would bog out like it was not getting any fuel I would have to down shift and get the RPM's back up and then I could keep going. So I just thought that maybe that gasket had something to do with it??????

Spray around the jug and head with carb cleaner while the bike is running. If it dies out, you have a leak. Leak=boom boom bang
