| yea it wasnt as easy as it seems .Start looking for a bushing to go on the top mount.Drill out the bottom hole to fit the stock pin on the bottom.I had a hard time finding a bushing so i had to get a friend of mine to drill it out to make it fit.You have to cut on your airbox and yes that part of it sucks. Its also hard pressing the top bushing out without ripping it up in the process.I weigh around 190 and it is a little stiffer but after you adjust the preload all the way out and set the compression all the way to the soft setting and rebound in the middle its not too bad ![]()

| i did that on my old blaster and it was definitely worth it, but i had a longer swingarm on it. the + 6 swingarm had too much leverage for the stock shock and eventually the swingarm mount broke from the shock bottoming out too much. i got the swingarm replaced and put the z400/400ex shock on and it was a big improvement, both in ride and stopping the swingarm from breaking. what i did was i took the top blaster shock mount bolt out and cut it into two about 1/2 inch pieces. i then drilled those pieces out to the same diameter as the 400 shock mount hole, i basically made the bolt into two bushings that allowed me to mount the other shock. for the bottom you just have to drill a larger hole in it to accept the pin that goes in the bottom of the blaster shock. i hope that is understandable. for me, it was a really good mod, because i wanted a stiffer shock to soak up landings better and let me go faster.

![]() LMAO! iv got a +2 swinger, and i weigh 220. works great for me! i love it over stock! the rezzie on mine is not attached to the top of the shock, its on a 6" chord, i then strapped it to the side of the frame.

| It's definitely worth swapping. I had a 400ex shock on my blaster and it worked great. The hardest part is getting a bushing for the top shock mount. It's not that big of a deal...just a little time consuming. But for 25 bucks & a little time, it sure beats getting a works or elka rear shock and spending $600-$800.

| you dont need to get a new bushing machined for the shock, just get a high grade 10mm bolt, mines an 8.8 or whatever they go by in metric and i weigh too much to be riding a blaster, then get some washers that it fits snug in and weld them in place on the top shock mount, then on the bottom you just have to drill out the hole on the shock a little bit and find a spacer to go in the middle. I would recommend it but it will be pretty stiff for your weight, but it makes all the difference when jumping, i used to either nose dive or land way to far on the back, but now it levels out perfect mid air p.s. makes sure to remove the metal parts in the plastic that your airbox lid screws into, it almost rubbed a hole in my reservoir, i tried to not cut my airbox, instead i put about 4 layers of cardboard between the reservoir and the airbox and bolted it down then blasted it with a heat gun for a while
