| Well, I wouldn't say it's particularly "unsafe", in that even if it falls apart while you're riding... the bearing carrier still can't really fall off and create a dangerous condition. HOWEVER... it is a poor substitute for a longer swing arm. The Yamaha bearing carrier and tension adjuster are pretty crappy to begin with... then you go and throw some extension pieces and other garbage in there and you're just asking for problems. If I had a real piece of shit blaster that I just used to beat on... and this part was TOTALLY FREE... I might consider trying it out for shits and giggles... but I certainly wouldn't pay anything that resembled money for it... and it would never find its way onto a machine that I liked.

| Yeah, Ill prolly go with yours.. how do you make it? hard to install? and last but not least...how extended is it?..i love riding wheelies! will this prevent my wheelie fun? To be honest..and this prolly sounds really stupid..but i have no actual reason/need for wanting extended swing arm..but i love the look. |

| damn man thats pretty sweet and a good deal. Do you paint them also or just extend it? I'm looking at going +2, and I've seen people cut them and weld them before. How well does that hold up?

| i weld 11gauge steel, whatever length you want..up to 4", i dont paint them, but i could... it does cut down on the wheelie a little, although with the longer swingarm, it does make it easier to find your balance point. mine has held up to 3 years of ABUSE so far without a single problem. i do not recommend you go out and make huge air jumps...they make swingarms for that purpose..ie, houser. for the everyday rider and aggressive trail etc, its the way to go. i have gone 4th gear pinned through whoops about 4 foot apart and 2 ft deep just bangin the hell out of my rear suspension...so they are strong as stock..cant be any stronger than stock without some serious mods that would add too much weight. its the same thing blasterzone does...but 100 bucks less.

you will need a longer chain and brake cable..i used a banshee chain cut to length and a motion pro rear cable available from vito's.
