| try messin with the air and idle screws first. screw in the air screw all the was and back it out 1.5 turns. then set the idle. normaly people go up 1 or 2 sizes at the most on the pilots.

| i ordered the vitos jet kit, it came with a bigger pilot and a different cut needle. but if your mods list in your sig is still accurate...no aftermarket pipe or port work, you dont need to change your pilot.

| ya my mods list is correct i made that earlier this week. i've played with the air screw. and i did notice a difference in the cut of my dyno ket kit needle vs my stock needle. could also be the temp. i'll have to see what happens when its 60-70 again ![]() so the pilot is similar to a jet, in the aspect that it un-screws and comes out during replacement??

| well, yes and no. yes, it unscrews...the pilot is a fixed orifice jet, in that i mean there is no moving parts to meter fuel..ie, needle. the only metering device is the pilot screw, if youve ever taken it all the way out, youll notice its tapered on the tip. what your doing by adjusting the pilot screw is allowing more air to pass by the pilot jet and suck fuel up from the bowl. when installing a new pilot jet)bigger( your turning the screw in a larger orifice...for more air/fuel flow. if you dont have many mods its not needed and youll just end up turning your pilot screw in farther to lean out the mixture due to the larger pilot jet. does that make sense...it sounded good to me, i understood it. if not let me know, i'll try to rephrase some stuff.

| just mess with your idle screw underneath the seat....this will bring the idle up or down, depending on which way you turn it....

| make sure your pilot screw is 1.5-2 turns out before you adjust your idle screw under your seat.
