 Too much smoke? Hey guys, Was able to take my blaster out on the 1st real ride since i got it last month...and was wondering about the smoke from the exaust, I know its suppose to, but the more i rode it the thicker the smoke was getting. Its jetted to fmfs jetting guide, which called for a 260 main. Its a little boggy on the low end..gotta clutch it just a bit. but seems fine other than that. im mixing yamalube 32:1 and the only other mods are a .020 wiesco and hotrods crank. its about 20 degrees out, so not sure if that affects anything.      |

| I would mix it at a 40:1 ratio. That's what DirtWheels Magazine suggested I think, but I still have the oil injection, so I'm not talking from experience. And yeah it is gonna smoke a littl emore for some reason when it's colder, mine always does that when I'm riding in snow and it's around 20 degrees here too.

| it might be ur oil injecter thing....20 degress aint helping it...it usualley clogs up

| 32:1 will not make it smoke like that. once it warms up it shouldent smoke much at all. r u running the oil injection and premixing the fuel? this would cause it.

| lol yea the mixing the fuel and running oil injection would definatley cuse it....thats like running 10:1

| i have oil block off..sorry forgot to add that. Now that i rode it some more..it is pretty bogy in the low gears till i get some speed up. |

| Your jetting is off (or some other big problem) if you're wicked boggy down low. Check your plug.

| Ill pull the plug...but seems like once its nice and warm it runs pretty good, not boggy at all, but thats after about 10 min of riding. is that normal? as for the jetting..all i know to go by is FMF guide..and thats what i did. does a 260 main jet for a .020 bore, hotrods crank and fmf fatty pipe sound about right? Everyone tells me to do a plug test by putting in a new plug and then riding full throttle then shutting it off...but with the cold thats tough, since if i dont let it warm up a bit it runs like crap. |

| Check your compression too... When you check the plug, the quad should be mostly warmed up.

| are you running the piss out of it? or are you lugging it around....dont lug it. you may just need a new plug.
