| Hey guys, My blaster seems to run just about perfect with the air box lid removed. (fmf recomended it anyhow) But, I dont feel comfortable riding this time of year with it off..with all the mud and water around....i dont have any extra money at the moment for a new airbox or aftermarket lid. Can i leave that lid on and compensate by backing out the air screw on the carb a turn or 2....any other ideas are welcome as well.... |

| That's your best option... drop back the main one size. But.. you really don't need the airbox lid unless your in water so deep it goes up to the seat. But even then the lid isn't going to help much. I'd leave it off.

| well, im more worried bout mud.. when i was playng it the mud yesterday, i removed my seat and see lots of mud up in the box. by dropping it a size you mean going from my 260 jet to a 250? |

| I don't know how Mikuni jet numbers run... but if there's no sizes available between 250 and 260... then yes... 250. But I would think there might be like a 255 or 257 maybe. Like Keihin sizes are (for example) 170, 172, 175, 178, 180, 182, 185, 188, 190, 192 and so on.
