| 240 sleeve kits are junk yes, the 240 cylinder kits are alot more dependable, but vitos 240 kit sux, youd be better off with a phantom 240 kit from project blaster, at least it is ported and everything.

| For the money... if you're on a budget I like the vitos 240 kit. It's NOT EVEN CLOSE to a CT or Trenga 240 national... but it's reliable, easy, cheap... and it is ported to about 80% of the performance you'll get out of the afore mentioned top ends.

| all they really did is add more ports, the vitos 240 runs the same exhaust port timing as stock...the port work is really shitty, now, if you get the vitos 240 cylinder, send it out to get ported and youll really have something. the vitos has a good platform, they just dont have it to its potential( for reliability reasons) they dont want people boo-hooing about blowin their engine up cuz they dont know how to tune a high perf motor.

| Absolutely right... they are marketing to a segment of blaster owners who want an affordable power upgrade with nearly stock reliability. It's a good quality product... and it has the potential to be upgraded pretty easily. And yeah.. I was talking about the whole top end kit... not their sleeve... I can see no possible purpose at all for that crap-tastic "idea".

| Well... reliability is a function of tuning and maintenance more than a function of the product itself. As long as you keep it jetted right they're all plenty reliable... If you want a kit that's super easy to install and very complete, Vito's is the way to go. They send you an entire top end plus the proper jetting (according to their specs) for your stock carb. If you call them and talk shop they're EXTREMELY helpful in getting you in the right ball park for jetting based on your specific mods (pipe/carb/reeds/airbox/filter etc). Their 240 kit seems to be very tolerant of throwing in the right jets for your usual altitude and temp and never having to touch them again. The higher output top ends like Trenga and CT will get you quite a bit more power due to a much better porting setup plus they come with other stuff. The CT comes with a Keihin 28mm or 34mm carb and their CT pipe/silencer. The Trenga kit comes with (in my humble opinion) a better porting setup, a Keihin 34mm carb... but no pipe the last time I checked. That might have changed by now though. Anyway... they're both extremely nice kits but VERY pricey! Also... from my experience the Trenga kit is very sensitive to temperature and altitude changes. I've got both the Trenga and Vito's top ends on my two different Blasters. I NEVER have to play with the carb on my beater... the Vito's top end. On my racer, the Trenga top end... I change jets like most people change their socks. All the places I race are at completely different altitudes and climates... so I spend an hour or so getting it jetted in right before every race. If you don't travel a lot and ride in mostly the same areas... you shouldn't have to rejet any of the 240 kits once you've got it dialed in.
