Default Hard Starts

Hey E2S, haven't posted in a while and I am having some issues with my rebuild that took place this winter

Anywho, rebuilt the topend of the blasty and also purchased new reeds (pro series Boyeseen) and a reed spacer

Checked for leaks, no issues +120 lbs of compression

I go to start the blaster with the gas on, it will not start.
Turn the gas off and kick till it started (lots of kicks) and then turned the fuel on when I had her going.

Performed the whole heat up cool down cycle 3 times already.
Once I get the quad started, it will stay idling perfect, if I shut it off, I CANNOT get it started back up with the gas on or off.
If I give it gas passed 1/4 throttle the engine completely bogs and almost stalls but I have saved it a few times.

Couple days ago I took the whole intake off, adjusted the reeds on the cage, and retorqued everything
Started up, which was a bit easier this time around I let it warm up and then I tried to take her for a ride under her own power, but it didn't like that.... if I tried to move forward it would almost instantly die.

I am running a 30mm carb (CPW OKO), I can't remember what I jetted it at off the top of my head, but it was jetted for lower compression (maybe I needed to jet it richer at the time?)

What is the next wierdest thing though is that it will not move under it's own power... any help will be appreciated

My guess is one of two things....

First is the jetting is too rich....try dropping the main jet size....

My next guess is somethiing electrical...

try taking off your airbox lid and try it again, either your not getting enough air or your getting to much fuel.. try removing the air box lid first

im going to say you need to check all of your grounds. everything from your magneto to coil. if you rebuilt i know youll have to bump down the jetting a little. i think i read it wrong but see if you didnt shear your flywheel key.

one time i put the motor back in and it idled fine and had no power....turns out i had 2 of the 4 wires that go to my motor were wrong cause i put the motor back in teh frame in dull light. It had no power at all and could barely climb a 4 inch bump lol....I felt stupid...

also, did you unplug the tors box? if you didnt, and changed the carb, the tors unit is going to shut down spark thinking its stuck wide open...and wont let it start...and if by some chance it resets itself, it will cause crazy assed running problems. there is a white plug under the hood that runs to the tors unit, make sure its unplugged.

Just a topend rebuilt, I should have been specific. Tors was eliminated months ago, I am going to tinker with the jetting a little later, I just need to buy some jets some time and they are $5 a piece here in Canuck land!!
