 rebuilt blaster wont start?? I just put a new engine in a blaster and i cant get it to start anyone have any ideas. I checks all the electrical lines they all seem fine      |

| new motor as in "you rebiult it"? new motor as in "crated motor"? new motor as in "from a known running blaster"? or new motor as in "never seen the motor run, but told it was good"? I would start with the basics...check for spark, if there is spark....is the plug new? if not get a new one, once you do this (and not the problem) you prolly need to move on to fuel...take apart the carb..give it a good cleaning..look everything over and see what that does. IF you have no spark...its something these other guys can walk you through. keep us posted. |

| 3 years ago? wow, rings could be stuck. try doing a compression check and see where that ends up. 125psi is spec. thats where you need to start.

| the engine is fine i think it has somethign to do with all the shut off switches can someone tell me what the throttle shut off switch does |

| Make sure the ignition circuit is OPEN at the key switch, whether there is a switch or not. I forget which way the TORS works... but I'm pretty sure that circuit needs to be open also...

| i got it to spark it is the throttle shut off i dont know what that is and i still cant start it it is reall close though |

| The throttle shut off (TORS) is an electrical kill witch built into the top of the carb. You can disable it by cutting the yellow and black wires coming out of it. Depending on it being an open or closed circuit you may need to splice the ends together or leave them apart... I don't remember which. BUT... if that was your problem I don't think you'd be getting spark to begin with. If you know you've got spark move on to the next issues. Is it getting fuel? Is the compression close to 120?

| it wont start unless i hold the throlle open there is a little button inside the throttle box that the lever hits it is getting fuel it willl go for like 2 cycles then it dies there is a little exhaust coming out |
