I've seen quite a few DS 650's as platforms for a 1300 conversion, I'd guess because they have so much power, and the 650's are balanced pretty well so I'd gues that's part of the reason.

Ive done a few of these conversions, my newest one for myself, I am using a DS. The big reason people use the DS is because its BIG so lots of room to adapt the motor, and it has the most suspension travel. High Ground clearence. There are many reasons, but thats the main reasons.

They have one tough ass frame to them too. I forget how thick they are but thats the main reason for all the weight. They are pretty ugly tho. Whoa a stock DS does even get 40 to the wheels??? is that right?

"It even uses the stock DS650 gas cap!" NO WAY...I'LL BUY IT FOR SURE NOW lmao
