Bombardier has always been Canadian. They broke into several smaller companies. BRP (mostly made in Mexico and some junks from Korea with the BRP name), Can-Am (which has ALWAYS been a franchise of Bombardier), and the original Bombardier Co which still makes large machines such as snow groomers and such. Basically, it's a move to keep costs down by segregating the different manufacturing process's, and keep loss's and gains seperate to their respective enterprises.

can-am is a prety gay name in my opinion. Bombardier sounds a lot better. will they still make the same machines such as the DS 650?

They propably will. I dont see why a little name change would effect their production.
