Nah restoring snowmobiles isnt alot of work at all. I had the whole body stripped in a hour and a half and the body is out to get powdercoated and everything is going to chrome soon. The hood is being professionally redone by a guy i know and all the motor seals/points/condensers/etc etc is being done by me. Its getting a new track and a NOS seat cover on a new plywood base that i bulit from the old one. It only has 350 original miles and their tuff to find in good shape like that one is. Lucky for me it was a freebee from a friend of mine and all it had was a lightly stuck motor and cosmetic issues.

What color are u powder coating it? Make sure you post pics throughout the restoration.

It's going to look just like it did when it came from the factory. I just got the crankshaft back from being rebulit eariler today and i put that whole thing back together today and its lookin pretty good now all I need is the body track and everything else to finish it.

You should make it a color that will really stand out and catch peoples attention, not a stock color.

The thing is its going to be a show sled in the restored class. I just picked up a 1990 Ski Doo Forumla Plus which im going to make stand out. If you know anything about restoring vintage snowmobiling (no offense meant by this) then you would know that you dont make them stand out especially a rarer one like this.

Ohh i c. No offense taking, i dont know a lot about snowmobiles.
