in the primary clutch there is the main spring, and there are the weights. im not 100% sure on this but i think the heavier weights make it take off with lower rpm's and so does the softer spring. and the opposite makes it engage at a higher rpm's. the only thing is you cant go to stif with the springs without having heavy weights or the clutch wont engage, and you can get too stiff of a spring for the motor to make it work right.

yea remember im not 100% sure at this...my brother has never let me change the springs or weights for myself. and also for the secondary you can change the weights and helix for different takeoff and speed.

I dont think they'll let you into vintage drags with a newer sled like that either.

actually he might be able to this year. if he cant this year he will be able to next year. last yea on the forms i had to fill out the newest you could have was from 1983 i think. and you can put sleds from one year newer every year. im not totally sure about this but i think the sleds have to be made 21 years ago i think. my 340 is a 1980 sled...and the 440 im going to start racing is from 1978 so im safe.
