Just got a new Toy

So I picked up an 03 MXZ Rev 800 it has a blown motor and needs the crank bearings replaced or inserts put in. Might just get new cases not sure have to see when I get it. Paid $1500 for it should only cost me about $1000 to fix it.

Yeah it has a new starter new track and is pretty mint, I know the guy that owns it and he rides hard but takes great care of his sleds. Always stored inside and season prep'd each year. So it should be awesome. The dealer he was going to send it to was going to replace the cases because the bearing spun in it but I am thinking having case inserts put in. Then I will probably just get the jugs bored honed, crank rebuilt if needed, and pistons then put it back together.

I am pretty pumped this is going to be the first snowmobile rebuild I have ever done.

not to complain or anything but thats kinda expensive for one with a blown motor..it is a very good choice on sled tho...yea what chris said..port the fucker

How is that expensive a snowmobile motor consits of very little. When rebuilt I can turn around and sell it for over $4500. It should be less than $1000 to rebuild it. A snowmobile is not like a quad where it is just a motor and frame, I bet I could part this sled out for over $6000 easy.
