| From what I've heard the PJ Carbs are best for 1/4-3/4 throttle and the PWK's will give you more 1/2-WO hope this helps.All depends on where and how you ride to get the best carb for yourself. PJ's are more Rideable power.

| hmm. If this is true the pj may be what i need. i ride in the woods and the dunes also. So for the same carb size, the pj has better responsiveness? Anyone have an opinion? |
| ||||||||||||
| pwk's imo. pj's are outdated, and sometimes hard to jet. pwk's are newer and easier to maintain. eviltwin on here has the same opinion, he could explain it better. but i had a 34mm pj and now i have a 33mm pwk. |

| Pj=Piece of junk Go PWK Not worn out and "Old" outdated Crap...Easier to tune too |

| love my pj easy to tune you can take your air strikers and stick them where they belong. pain to jet. pwk are ok, though. if you get a pj cheap, get it. they work good. lots of opinions so

| its not that the pj are total junk ...the biggest complaint is often the idle problem they have ,being that the choke is part of the idle circuit and makes idle adjustments hard on some bikes.if your bike can idle with them then they would be a good choice.kehin deosnt make them any more for this reason. also they were same carb and came stock on machines as far back as 1985.

| very easy to get to idle special that its a single carb on his 250. on a shee they can be some what tricky but not that bad

| So do the pj's provide better low end response? Or would a pwk be the same? |
| ||||||||||||
| The keihin PJ carbs throttle bore is designed for more power and air flow at low and middle rpm and the oval slide gives good throttle response(Mx,CC,Trail,Play riding and decent sand duning.) Where the PWK was designed for more performance the throttle valve is semi flat and shaped like a D it has great response and was made for more flow at higher rpm's. You'll get maximum power at high rpm's.(TT,Drag races,Oval tracks,Aggressive riding,desert.) Whatever you decide to pick be sure to get a duncan racing SuperFlow carb mod.
