Default 35mm carbs big enough ?

Hi i am looking to buy some trinity stage IV ported cylinders on ebay and a noss cool head are 35mm carbs big enough ? also i will be buying a vitos 404 big bore kit before december so i have about 6 months to get set... anyways are 35mm carbs big enough w/o the 404 kit and are they the right size with the 404 kit ? cuz i dont want to go off and buy another set of carbs >< pretty expensive ... any suggestions ?

yeah unless you got on hell of a port job on the stock stroke i wouldnt get dual 35mm carbs IMO ,youd be way overcarbing your setup too ,especially if slowass trinty did the porting, id take a look at 28/30 mm pwk carbs and the 404 isnt the way to go to make alot of power, the dune/drag ported 4 mill stroker however is

i thought trinity's stage IV port job was pretty good anyways i have emailed patriot racing and asked em a few question's... like how much there portwork cost... i told them i am going to buy a noss coolhead...4mm crank... 35mm carbs and still run pump gas ... hope its not too expensive >< or im gonna have to buy some used cylinders on ebay ported by trinity ive seen a few ...

o yeah im new to quads so i have a quick question ... why do u have to bore your cylinders ? what exactly is that ? and i heard you could bore your carbs whats the difference between the two... thanks for the previous reply's i have recieved many answeres in my previous post's thanks 4 the help

Usually when your boring [also making the cylinder larger] the cylinder you are just cleaning it up from all the burs, scuffs and all the crap, so when you bore it over the piston in the next bore range fits better and gives you more compression, also at the same time gives you more reliability. Hopefully i did a good job explaining that...prolly not Boring [making the inside of the carb larger] carbs is the same concept only in that case you are just trying to get more fuel into the cylinder.
