ported carbs

The person that i bought my new carbs from told me that thay were bored and ported. Is thair such a thing as porting carbs? Or was he full of it.

carbs can be bored, and i supposed they could be ported meaning that the passages were cleaned, but who the hell knows

they can be bored..... ive never heard of a ported carb though.....

well i would consider it polsihed and cleaned up more than i would cal l it ported and thats on airbox side inner diameter of the bell and other side gets taper bored ,my carbs are made this way so air comes in unrestricted with no turbulence and fast ,does it make much much differecne ...who knows but im sure it isnt much change as far as power goes

my carb was bored out but not ported. . . .

jim from passion calls that volume over velocity, when it comes to dumping fuel. .. . lol

bored carbs do have less velocity.... in some cases thats ok you actauly need the velocity to make the quad run right...
