Hey guys, I have an lt250r that has a stock motor. As far as I know, the motor has had nothing done to it at all. I am fairly new to the 2-stroke world, but love the power this bike has. Of course I would like to get all I can get out of it so I would like to know what kind of modifications you guys can offer to get the most out of this bike. I also ride MX and flat track and would like to know what kind of racing fuel you guys recommend. All my friends ride 450's and they are big on the U4. I would like to know what kind of fuels can be run in the 250r's and how much change has to be made as far as jetting goes.

I currently use a mix with 93 octane on my stock engine. If I get headwork and porting done, what type of fuel do you recommend? I have stock suspension, but it feels awesome. I kinda hate to change it. I have friends who run Elka on long travel A-arms and they really like my stock suspension.

i know a few ppl who are kind of picky about their stuff... and the bikes they own dont NEED better fuel than premium, but they run 100LL AV fuel anyways because it doesnt gum up like pump and it lasts longer, burns cleaner, and smells better <--(that's an opinion but i agree). the price is comparable. i run amsoil dominator 40:1 for my mix w/ AV too.

really easy mod is to mill the head which raises the compression, helps out throughout the whole powerband especially low end grunt and all u need is sanding block and micrometer. I took off .030 and I run half premium and half VP C12. I start getting slight pinging with premium fuel alone. If u milled only .015" then u could run premium.
