Default Banshee Clutch removal... Quick Question

Hi and THANKS for your help! First time removing the clutch on my Banshee. I ordered a service manual today Thursday Nov.16th. BUT... to get a head start on removing the clutch... I already drained the oil. Do I need to drain the coolant or will it go everywhere when I open the clutch cover ??? THANKS !!!

It will go everywhere when you remove the water pump hose to take your cover off, so be prepared.......

Reminds me when my shee first douched me with coolant...Good Times. Use lube and keep the disassembly smooth.

i put a vise grip on the hose with a rag around it, then take the hose off and turn it up so the coolant doesn't all run out of the radiator..........

They make radiator hose ratcheting pliers that are better suited for this. Vice-Grips will tear your hoses up........

How about pulling out the coolant drain cover off?
Has anyone here modified their stock plate & added the drain plug?
Doesn't seem hard, thinking of doing it.

on the side of both heads is a small bolt remove them one at a time... i use a soda bottle with the bottom cut off and use it as a funnel to direct the coolant to what ever im using to hold or scrap the antifreeze... then take the hose off much cleanner and if you make a mistake and have to do rework it is pretty handy... clutches are easy... and today is wed the 14th.. had a stoner moment?
