| Thanks... Just trying to burn flicks to watch on the big screen! Should I look for a particular brand? Does not necessarily have to be top notch above all, but want something decent.

| Get as much processor and memory as you can afford. get a dual layer DVD burner. A traditional single layer DVD burner that compresses a store bought/rented DVD will show more artifacts on a bigger TV... By this time next year, BluRay DVD burners will be 1/2 the price they are now, guarantee... Get Serial ATA hard drives in that notebooke (SATA) if you can. They have a higher data transfer rate as well...

| I bet they will as in all technology.. Maybe I'll let the hype go down a bit. He have a yearly computer expo out here and all hardware/software go for good prices! I'll letya know what I end up with!

| Well... My bro had this external burner [by Pacifi Digital] never used and let me have it. Another friend came by with a bunch of software, ended up with Clone DVD2 & a bunch of decoders. Just burned the first flick and plays fine! ![]()
