Smile Painting the Frame

Ok I am Going to sand blast the frame today or tomarrow. What type of paint should i get. i don't want it flakeing off easily, and I can't afford powdercoat.

a PPG paint would be good if you are using a gun. If you are not using a gun and going to use a good clear coat, and are planning on rattle can, dont even waste your time doing it.

Rattle can will hold up if prepped and painted right. I've used rattle can many times and I've had good results that have held up for years. I did my friends CR250 2 years ago and it hasen't chipped off yet. He just sold it and the guy thought it was powdercoat. lol

Prep work is the key to success.
I would advise going with the
spray gun...I hate spray cans!
Clear coat will add to the strength
so it wont flake or fade.

I did a few areas on both my quads. I'm going to say Krylon is some of the best stuff out there.
If doing spraypaint make sure surfaces are clean.. Good sanding will make enamel stick.
Light coats to build thick & let each stage cure. I'd dump alot of clear coat on there too!

I'm saving my powdercoat money to do the banshee, do it once, get it over with and last forever!
