| I was thinking about doing this. But one thing I would worry about is if you were to spill gas, oil, coolant on it. I would try it if I new that it wouldnt dissolve away. I know someone that had his stator and clutch covers powdercoated with an acrylic clear coat on top. After some spillage, they looked terrible. Looked like paint does after you put stripper on it, they powder coat held up underneath though. I know that when people have tried to polish their dirt bike frames, they had to remove a factory clear coat. I would imagine this stuff is not vulnerable to chemicals. If we could figure out what the factory used, I think this would be the ideal stuff.

| I have heard of so many problems with a clear over plished aluminum. I have heard & would stick with a buffed layer of wax that is made for a Aluminum.

| yea but how well do you think that would hold up like on the clutch cover where your boots are constantly rubbing on it? |

| You can powder coat it. It will stand up better than anything. And it does not dull the polish job. |
