Default lighter flywheel

zi got my flywheel off right now putting an adj stator in and im wondering if i should get my flywheel lightend, can me local machine shop do it?

Depends. What do you expect to gain? You want to lose low end torque and gain high revs? Do you want you motor be more prone to stalling?

I don't know where they machine away the material, but I don't see why not.

Id like to gain a little beter low end, But i dont want it to stall on me. what do you recomend?

you dont; lose low end at all... in fac tthe quad will come on stronger and rev faster..... i;ve neer had a problem with stalling on my banshees... not sure what you own though...... i say go for it...... talk to eviltwin here on the site.. he does em cheap

For low end weight is added to the flywheel. Also:
Reed spacer, Mid Pipe, Smaller or sleeved down carb, steeper sprocket gearing, .4mm or dual st reeds, 9.5:1 compression ratio, squish band 60% of bore area on head, Exhaust port 90 ATDC, transfer ports 118 ATDCage , stock ignition timing, Short, small diameter silencer.

That should cover it.

a light flywheel will make an engie with a bit higher powerband more usuable in tighter situations... you don't have the low end dead spot like a higher RPM engine is known for when you use the lighter flywheel... a light flywheel is pretty much just a great mod....
