Default stroker crank and big bore questions

Hey, I been lookin into a 4 mm stroker and a big bore kit for my banshee. I was wondering what machining would be needed to stick those two things in my banshee. i know id have to go to a machine shop and get the cylinders bored, but would i need to resleeve em, and would i need to mod my head for the stroker? any help would be great.

You'd have to get big bore sleeves put into jugs, and run a spacer plate for head clearance, I believe

Best way to do it is drop the 4mm in with 795 pistons and order up some 4mm domes for a head such as a Noss and go at it. The porting really should be changed too but it will run just dropping it in. The big bore is a waste of time, especially if extensive rework of the transfers isnt done. It might even slow the bike down. In some cases bigger isnt always better.

I have been considering this for a future mod as well........4mm stroker that is.......is this a waste of my money, to run with my exsisting mods? What else would I need to do to make this a good upgrade?

This is probably a stupid question but, what is a 795 piston? I have standard bore prolites now, would these work?

The 4mm crank comes with long rods for improved rod ratio and the 795 pistons account for this in pin height difference so you pistons dont pop out the top. You could run them with a 5mm spacer and cut domes but I would buy the 795 pistons and cut the domes. You would also want to talk to denny about it cause it will affect the porting, it most likely will be on the verge of funky with your existing ports though. He can plug them in and give you an opinion though.

Oh, I get it, with the longer rod you need a piston designed to work with the rod, or shim, that makes sense.
