Default My yfz project updated



Its a 04 yfz 450 with a 89 quad zilla motor , I still have lots of work to do , but i did get some of the motor mounts done tonight .i'll post more pic's as i get more done .

Thats nice.. I would much rather have a yz450f motor in it though. That would be so sick.

would a quad zilla motor be the best motor for this quad?? or would a kx or cr 500 motor be better

a kx or cr would have more power, but the zilla motor is counterbalanced and won't vibrate ya to death, their is a guy on here with a z 400 with a zilla motor, and he says it hauls ass.

Yamahaguy , what would be the point of taking out a 450 4stroke just to put another one in it would still just be a crapy 4stroke and i hate 4strokes . I'm using the zilla motor because that is what i have . I'm hoping to have this project done in a month and a half

Thats pretty cool RC...Keep the pics updated so we can see what you had to do for the swap...Have you ever seen the yfz that a guy stuffed a banshee motor in? That was a pretty cool project...It will definately be an upgrade in power and suspension...
