Even though my Bearclaws look badass and rip to shreds everything they go across, I don't recommend them for a sport quad. They are heavy and suck lots of power. Before I added HD banshee springs to my clutch the claws used to make it slip. On the other hand you can pull 5th gear through a corn field and look back at entire stalks of corn being up-rooted and flung back 15 feet . The razors I got work great and save around 17 lbs. I only use the bearclaws to braze new trails + mud & snow. I'm dieing to sling some snow with them!!! Sorry I can't help you with the mud lights I don't have any experience with them. I'm not sure what size you have in mind but don't get 22's or larger. I get too much traction with the 22's and my Blaster constantly wants to wheelie even with the +4 swingarm. Yours should be no different maybe worse with the stock swinger...PB

Eh? Isn't traction what you want?

I have 22's on now and I like them for clearance. Thanks for the info. I figured the extra weight might be a problem.

I was going to take a pic of the carb tonight...... but it seems the gremlins have heisted it.

Traction like anything else has a happy medium. Too much and you wheelie or bog, too little and you spin and swing the rear around too much.

yea the 22inch carslile knobbies that i have on my Lt250r get way to much traction. I spend way to much time on the wheelie bar. depending on how loose the dirt im in i can be on the wheelie bar for 3 of 4 gears.

I realize the chain will be slack, which is why I also made a chain guide.

I haven't seen too many motors, or complete bikes lately. Not much on ebay either.

Well I can't seem to find my camera so I took some pics with my cell phone. My apologies for the terrible quality. But I just finished putting it all back together. I haven't even tried to start it since I changed the carb.

A fitting nickname for this machine

Tadaa

A little tribute to the engine.

I know it still has some wrinkles. I fought with it for hours. It's actually meant for a taller seat.

Keihin PJ26C, 185 main, 55 pilot, stock slide, stock needle in third clip

Maier "new style" 300EX plastic

Now just one thing left; rear tires and then I can get to work on my girlfriend's DT50. She just got her motorcycle permit.

taht is fuckin clean, nice job

but for the tires, defentyl dont get big tires they kill your power, i would recommend some 4 ply razrs in a 20inch, or holeshots in the same size, or maby turftamers, but my personal prefrence is razrs, they hook up amazingly well but dont get too mcuh traction like the other guys were talkin about, and they slide nicely on turns

Yeah 20' Razors or turftamers. Don't fear the Tamers their cheap and are great tires. I even had a set.
Man that 26mm carb is prolly limiting your topend. I bet it does have killer torque though! Good job on that. Wheres the vidz???
