Default modified atv puller

I am wanting to build a modified atv puller with a lt250 or banshee chassis and a snowmobile or cycle engine. Has anyone had any experience in doing this or know of a bike like this for sale, or just the chassis? This would be used at the atv sled pulls.

You need a kawasaki 750 triple motor. They came in the early 1970's street bikes. They are 3 cylinder, 2-stroke, air cooled. Very light weight (125lbs complete with carbs), and can easily make 150+rwhp. I have a 72 Kawasaki that I restored with one of these motors in it, and DAMN is it scary to drive! This thing will lay rubber down the street and then come up in a wheelie.... =] Would make a very effective ATV engine.... =]

Yep a Suzuki GT750, dubbed the "water buffalo". Those are good motors too, but they are water cooled and much heavier than the kawasaki.....

yeah but for a puller the heavier engien might be better if mounted a tod forward in teh frame. either way this thing makes about 120 rear wheel hp. thats gonna move a quad and pull about anything they;ll hook to it ha ha. the H2 is a better engine but the buy in is big $$$$$$$ plus liek i said the weight wont; matter in a puller. for a drag quad i'd say H2 if you had a choice. also for pulling you cn put just a small radiator on the GT750 engine. because it's not lie your gonna be idleing for long amounts of time. your just gonna hook up run the f*ck outta it and kill it right?? i was gona use this engien to make a puller for the mini trato pulls we have here. they start with riding lawn mowers but i have to many damn projects as it is. well i was gonna use it for that or a single seater sand rail but same thing i have too may projects and need to sell some stuff to finish other project and buy a couple already done ones too!!!

Thanks for the replys, still looking to see what I can find and if I am going forward with this project. One guy I pull with has a lt250 chassis with 750 Kawi motor installed, does a good job, has it set up so he can add or delete weights for the different classes.
