| i have a old 300 ex and was wondering what motor wold e easier to put in a kx500 or cr500.........and what about starting it the kick satrt will it get into the way?????? and last the pipe.....can i just tuck it all under or what......the radiator i can prolly weld some tabs to hook it up so its okay well thanks in advance......btw first day with this site its really awesome |

| The swaps I have seen didnt leave much room for a radiator. I think the 300ex chassis would be a handfull even with a 250 dirtbike engine. You have a choice of push starting or no rear fenders, and of course the exhaust is an issue with any swap. A-arms, swingarm length, and suspension are also going to need attention with all the new power... |

| I think it depends on what your going to do with it. if your just going to drag race then the blaster or 300ex frame would be good cause they are small and light weight but everything will kinda be tight putting all together. if your gonna do other kinds of riding then I'd use one of the bigger frames like the 400's. you got more room for the engine, pipe and radiators and a bigger quad is just easier to ride with the extra power you'll have
