Powdercoating Steering stem

I was just wondering if anyone has powdercoated there stem and if they had any issues fitting it back into the bottome and top bushing?

Oh I go everything taken apart so the frame just needs a couple bolts easy-outed and it will be ready to go to the powdercoated hopefully beginning of next week.

i had the stem on my 96 PCed and it fit back in ok. it turns really well to since it's such a smooth surface

get it either chrome powder or alum powdered they look really cool that way. BIG K got his done that way. i got mine doen mirrror black liek my frame.

I just took my steering stem to get powder coated two days ago, I had them tape off the bottom peg, so it will slide in nice. I did not have them tape off the top mount, so i do not know how it will fit back together. I get it back on the 15th, so ill post some pictures and let you know. The price for the steering stem foot pegs and front bumber $50.

yeah the bottom where it goesi nto teh bushing or bearing (bushing in your case bearing for yamahas) has gotta be masked of or it will not fit. my stem got coated all the way up don't worry bout the top mount it'l fit just fnie
