Thanks man! It's got the show but not the go yet. The cylinder is @ Boretech and the carb comes in 2 days.
We are ready

What brand compression tester is that? And is it accurate?

Not sure of the brand. As far as accuracy I have no way of testing it. The reading makes sense to me with how it ran and how easy it kicks over now. Before I tore it down in preparation for the new jug, I couldn't even get it started. Consider the previous vids as baseline 'before' shots. RIP old 400 bring on the 426!

New setup:
426 big bore w/carbide bore
Flotek ported jug
Boretech machined head to match the big bore kit
Flotek lightened flywheel
V-force 3 reeds
DG pipe sectioned and welded to fit & DG silencer
38mm keihin AS

I hope to get 50 hp- might not sound like alot but this is from 79'...PB

Clean! As are the welds on that intake. Nice work. 50 wheel hp is more then most 450's will ever see and with a chassis like the Blaster it'll feel like 100. LOL

Pulled the jug off mine today. Found out its sleeved. Going to give it a mild port and some fresh rings but not before replacing the crank seals/bearings. Oh boy...also hoping for the 50's in wheel hp.

Not sure. I know the other 400's are different from mine. I also know the 465 and 490 have different cases. I got around $300 in work on the 400 jug so it's gonna be around for while.

Have you had any problems with the frame yet? I noticed you aren't using a front or top engine mount... Does it vibrate alot like like that? Does the frame flex when you jump or come out of a wheelie from not using a brace between the rear portion of the upper a-arm mounts?

It never bothered me before the big bore kit. Now that I have the kit installed you can definitely tell some vibes are going on. No problems with the frame at all. I have braces where I cut the frame, always did?
