Exclamation Tri-z into Blaster Frame?

how hard would it be to put a tri-z 250 motor into a blaster frame?
im looking for something to do for a senior project, and i thought, what the hell, i can get a tri-z motor dirt cheap, why not throw it in my blaster frame?

anyone ever do this before?

ive seen a YZ250 blaster once. Actually got to ride it. insane and scary. lol. im sure you can find someway to mount the tri-z motor even if mounts need made, brackets fabricated etc. Could be a great finished product.

old school trick, use a triz bottom end and a yz top end...forget the year yz top end you need, but it was a rocket ship...think Coe put one in a blaster for mickey thompsons back in the day.

I have done this swap, like they said before me it is a easy swap, but the two main problems you will run into is #1 the pipe you have to have one made to do it right #2 where to mount the radiators. We ended up welding the first part of the triz header to the blaster pipe, just to have an inframe pipe, but it donsnt hit the powerband all the way, but runs good. it has been a very fun machine, dosent look good becaust my buddy and I were on a budget at the time, but alot faster than the origional blaster. Actually its very reliable, and my buddy still rides it, and were taking it to silver lake next month, Ill try to post some pict of it if i can find them. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

From 4+ years ago witha shitty camera, you need to cut the swinarm where the pivit bolt is to get the triz engine in there, use spacers to make sure that the cahin is straight. you can see the engine mounts we welded onto the frame......good luck.

no that wouldn't work you would need a water pump and the cooling jackets run down into the bottom end to get to the pump....

yah this conversion is very simple it took me about 8hrs to graph my yz into my blaster i used a pipe of a Rm125 with the ends off the yz pipe with a long kx500 silencer all i had to do wuz a little fine tuning to the carb and its just as bad azz as the bike and use Rm125 rads to they fit perfect between the motor and a-arms on the sides of the frame
