500cc blaster vids.

is there anyone on here that has any videos of a blaster with a yz490 or wr500 motor? or any kind of big bore air cooled two stroke. or even a three wheeler video with a 490 motor? I remember seeing a topic on here a while back but I searched and couldnt find it. my brother is wanting to see how his blaster compares with other similar built bikes. his blaster has a wr 500 motor with clamp on k&n filter and custom made drag pipe by ftz racing.

So who wins between you and him? A friend of mine stuffed a YZ490 in his Blaster chasis a couple of years ago and that little mutant was insane!

Do you know what year YZ490 your friend has. I'm working on a 465 right now and I'm all ears for any wisdom or tips.

well in that particular race, it might have been a tie. the finish line was that mailbox at the end. its between 400 and 500 feet i think. but at that time the clutch in the blaster was in bad shape, it was slipping very bad as I guess you could hear, and the clutch wouldnt disengage with the lever pull in hardly. and he also caught neutral there after the takeoff. but we fixed the clutch issue and the 250r aint got shit on it, even in the blasters poor state of tune. he would usually pass me bad in the last 100 to 80 feet. the carb needs adjusted bad cause its a dog on the lowend and on topend it cuts out a little when the revs start to climb. that was just a lucky race for the 250r.

You might wanna cut the frame. Will the gas tank fit with the motor & exhaust mounted? What else do you need to know?

Yeah it goes pretty good and was tuned nice before I tore it down for upgrades.
