but honestly, to realy see which frame is the lightest, someone needs to get a bare, bone stock blaster and 250r frame and weigh it with some sort of scales.
ya the 86 swingers were heavy as hell the 88 89s were aluminums, and i think they also went to lighter rims in 88 but dont quote me on that

What kind of pipe and different mods did they use in the article??? That one was supposedly kinda fast right??? Why don't you use the article as a reference point for yours? Just an idea.

well, not sure on what mods that bike had. but I think they had a custom pipe made that was in the shape of a aftermarket 250r exhaust but sized for the blaster motor. and plus they actually sent the whole bike to the shop where they make the pipes to make sure it would fit up with out any problems. just sounds like to much extra work and money. and ive done decided to just build an actual blaster and just stop with the trx frame. probably as soon as I find a good chassis to start with im gonna start sellin alot of the 250r parts I got to try and get back some of the $$ I spent on it and use that to buy a good exhaust and suspension for the blaster. and now I guess I got a hacked up 86 frame which I doubt I could even sell, so i'll just end up putting back up in the loft with all the other crap lol. but who knows, might pull it back out way down the road and use it to build some kind of drag bike project or something.

and now I guess its come to the point to start selling some of the parts I bought for this project to help make up some of the cost for the future blaster mods. so theres a bunch of pics I took tonight. everything on it is forsale except the frame (which I doubt anyone would want since its been hacked on), wheels and tires and tie rods, and steering stem clamp (shiny billet piece). everything else is for sale. just post your questions if you have any and I will answer them. and not sure on prices for anything yet, just make a offer I guess.
