Arrow my atc 125r project

I have a 1985 200x roller and a year or so ago I decided I was going to put a cr125 engine in it but I wanted it to be aircooled so I decided on the 79-80 cr125r elsinore motor. Well I finally found one I got it off ebay it's a 79 and now I'm in the process of mocking up the motor in the chassis here's some pic's.


the factory porting in this thing is very smooth after I get the motor mounts all fabricated and welded up I'm sending out the cylinder to be re-plated and getting a new piston.

looks like its made to fit right in. should turn out pretty nice.

is it very hard to get replacement parts for the old elsinore motors? some of the old guys around here talk back when they rode bikes that these things would haul ass.

As far as replacement parts you can still get the general stuff because the bikes are still popular for vintage racers, now as far as the motor fitting well it does for the most part but the chain is on the opposite side so I'll have to flip the axle over in the swinger also the motor is made to sit slightly offset in the stock chassis so I will have to do so on this chassis to make the chain line up right. Also yes these motors haul ass the stock porting is wicked and it's a six speed aswell.
