you might be able to make up a sprocket setup. i made a weed trimmer powered bike once and i just put a rubber wheel on the shaft coming out of the motor. then just had to push harder on the motor pressing the rubber wheel harder on the bike tire for clutching. it was really rigged but it worked.

the bike would go constantly with a peg so you would have to lift up the back i think the sprocket would be much better so i could find a way to use the clutch

well maby i might put my gas scooter motor in my bike since the scooter has a clutch and i dont ride the scooter i think a motor bicycle would be funner than a motor scooter anywase

Chainsaws have clutches too.. You can use the existing clutch if you make a simple sprocket... No scooter engine will have anywher near the HP of a decent sized saw...

haha this is such a classic idea, i tried it, failed because of lack of scrap steel, it can be done with a little patience, slow as hell tho, good luck

I did this years back with my uncle with a big ass logging chainsaw motor. It was actually pretty fast. But I was like 11 so I have no recalection of how we actually made the thing work.lol

speaking of big chainsaw motors, why not use this one? I havent posted pics of my monster saw yet, so here is the first one, its in my signature, it is a 1962 2 stroke (obviously) homelite 909d with 36" bar and .404 pitch chain, its crazy i will make a video of it soon, here is a pic
