I wouldnt mess with the 83 frame myself, The 85-86s would be more like what your looking for, with even the stock radiators on an 86 cooling even 100hp cr motor is not a problem. Not to mention that trx parts will fit the rear. Depends on what cases you use as well. Ive got a big bore cylinder on a 5 mil spacer in an 85 frame with little mods to the top it fits well. These frames are lighter and stronger that the older ones as well. Im currently looking for a scale to stick my 85 sand drag bike on I think Ive got it under 240lbs now. Good luck in your persuit of terror on that atc. Sounds like a fun project.

The more I think about it If cr500 is in your gut, find a mostley complete cr 500 and mod the swingarm pivot point to add that back axle of a trx. If you had the right tools this would not be too hard. Then you got the motor, forks, radiators, and most importantly a frame that you can get a readily available PROVEN pipe fir this motor to run right. Most guys out there dont set up the exhaust well when morphing a racer such as this. The basic dirt bike is a good start.

This plan is on hold for a long time my buddy bought the 83 back off of me. So I really don't know what we are planning after the LT250R gets done.

I did just pay for my motor yesterday and it should ship out sometime next week. Also bought a Leagar Swing-arm off a member of the site so hopefully that will be shipped soon. At that point once those come in I will have a roller minus rims and tires, well rims for the front I have 8" beadlocks on the rear.

So teh Next E2S Project is up in the air at this point.

I've actually only spent $3500 on this LT. However I still need shocks. Thats not a bad price since all that I have bought for it. Every part is brand new or powdercoated.

Burgard +3+1
Legar Swing-arm
LSR axle
Bearings on everything
Powdercoated everything
Wave Rotars
Steel braided brakelines
All the motor work
New plastics
New Seat and cover
Billet Axle Nuts
Sprockets
chain
New tie-rods
and the list goes on.
