so i have the engine in the frame. some problems so far with this swap are as follows.

LT rear swingarm bolt 15mm, CR 17mm.

rear case needs to be machined 5mm on stator side rear mount to align sprocket (also needs spacer).

bottom, front and head mounts are all going to need to be custom + 10mm instead of 8mm.

frame down tube needs to be moved back 2-3 inches to make room for pipe.

intake needs to be routed around the shock on the other side (custom airbox and intake tube to be fitted).

CR pipe flange to be welded onto pro circuit LT pipe and lengthened 2 1/2 inches to match CR pipe dimensions. custom pipe mounts.

kickstarter needs to be brought out about 1 1/2 inches away from the frame.

lengthened shifter 2-3 inches.

custom brackets for all electrical.

need a lighting stator if to run headlight (rockymountainatv.com $79.99)

CR twist throttle and cable (i like twists better anyway so this is not an issue for me).

here are some pics i took of a quick mock up for intake dimensions.

so, i have the rear, head, and lower mounts done (lots of cutting, grinding, and welding). still need to do the front mount by flipping the down tube around 180 degrees. pipe is done (cutting and welding needed). kickstarter is still and issue. and still need to build a airbox (got a sheet of 24 gauge galvanized steel for 15 bucks). got a 50 watt lighting stator off rockymountainatv.com for $79.99. ill have some more pics in a few days. i just started a new job and have not had too much time to work on it.

the CR/LT250R is alive! i took her on its first journey around the block today and wow is she a different bike. way more snappy throttle response, and a get out of my way powerband that hits right off idle and pulls hard all the way through the rpm range. i am really happy with the way things turned out. i still need to do some clean up and figure a way to mount the cdi box (witch has no bolt holes for mounting). the kickstarter is still holding me back (push start works for tuning purposes). will hopefully post some pics tomorrow.

id say it vibrates a little more than a stock LT but not as bad as a YFZ450 or 450R. there is almost no vibration at idle. id say most of the vibrations that is felt through the bars is from 5 to 6000 rpm. not by any means uncomfortable.
