the frame is painted. oh man i love this color. its kind of red, bronze-ish (ill get some pics) with a little metalic. turned out good. im gonna lay down some color on the a-arms (same as the frame uppers, black lowers) and hubs (same as frame) today. they are all sandblasted and ready to go.
no, i have not tried to adjust the powervalve on this engine. nor did i attempt to on my 97 cr250 (same thing). these engines use a centrifical weighted system to actuate the powervalve. it happens to be in the clutch case. so there is no ease of adjustment like the suzuki engines. the 17mm cover on the left side of the engine is only a tool to use to see if the powervalve is working and for installation and dissasembly.
anyway, the swap is done, the painting is done, its all togather. many long days working in the garage have come to an end. after work today we are going to the the dunes for the weekend so some pics and vids will be posted either sunday or monday.
for memorial day weekend we went up to browns camp up in the oregon coast range. for this trip i got new front wheels and tires and fabbed up a 02 cr250 silencer (sounds very good).
i did get the old lady to take a short vid of it running for those of you that wanted to see it in motion.
Thats nice. I cant believe this is the first time I saw this thread lol. I wonder what that would run like with a Dr.Q exhaust mated to it

Never argue with an idiot. They'll just drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience!
it runs very good as it is with the pipe that i fabbed up for it. im pretty impressed with its power. it cleaned up dragging up boxcar at the coos bay dunes. i lost to a dragged out banshee...... i took out a zilla, some banshees(coolhead, swinger, known portwork), and 250r's with work done (extended swingers, coolheads, unknown portwork but not stock).
Ya but it sure would look good against that black plastic. lol
