Been working on this thing for several months, just about sense December. Took my time with it, went slow, tried not to get in a hurry where I had to re-do anything for have any major screw ups. I've got hundreds of pics, but I'll a post a few of the better ones here. I did 99.9% of the fab work myself, the only thing I didn't do was the tube bending for the bottom frame rails because I didn't have the right die set for my bender at the time. Mike Walsh did that for me. Everything else is cut, welded, machined by me. Pipe included.
If anyone wants anymore pictures of anything, or has any questions, leme know. I've pretty much got everything squared away now. I went and raced it over the weekend, a pain in the ass to start with the little short blaster kicker but once it got going it ran like a raped ape and with the super tall 15/36 gearing was still able to outpull everything on the straights.
Thanks for the comments.
I'm from Live Oak. Its the Northern FL area, I'm about 35 miles from Lake City. The 500 is pretty much all done except for taking things back apart and painting/coating stuff. I've got an FTZ drag pipe but I can't use it for short track racing, If I ever decide to drag race it I can pop the FTZ on. I just need to run across some Hondaline short track 250R tank scoops and another numberplate (I smashed my old set in a wreck last season)
Thanks Brady. I don't think I'll be making it down to Auburndale this weekend, but that race on the 3/8 Ocala track sounds very interesting, let this thing stretch its legs with the 15/36 gearing
