CR500 on a blaster

i think its www.blasterzone.com or something like that. They are putting a cr500 engine on a blaster frame. Thatd be one hell of a ride

even if it was rubber mounted and gusseted i bet it would vibrate so bad it would crack the frame and make the rider completley miserable and lose to heavily modded shes anyways

all i read about it was they are extending the frame and i think 6 inch extended swing arm

"We purchased a 2-stroke water-cooled CR500 for $600.00 and plan on using the engine , carburetor, etc., and putting these parts into a Yamaha Blaster Frame. This will be the most challenging project we have ever attempted.
We will be modifying the frame motor mounts and gusseting the chassis's weak points for added strength.

We will be using the new dual-piston, self-adjusting brake system since we will need all the braking power we can get.

We also plan to use our own extended swingarm. We are thinking of going with a plus six inch extension,
and adding extra gussets for added strength.

We will also be doing our own powder coating and chroming. We still haven't decided on a color scheme yet.

We will be fabricating our own plus three inch A-arms for this project.

We plan to post a step-by-step process, showing pictures and product information, as well as a detailed cost breakdown on the items we use. We will also be parting out the Honda CR500 and putting them on eBay for auction, so we can use the proceeds to help offset the cost of building the Project Big Bore!"

I just don't get it. I wouldn't put a 500 engine in a Blaster frame, but I guess these guys are just trying to take Blaster projects to the extreme.

this used to be a popular thing for 250rs to do... but talk to anyone who did it and theyll tell yo u to never do it ,because itll vibrate so bad, that itl literally destroy /crack the frames and 250r frames are worth too much to destroy only to make 50-55 rwhp when yo u can just mod the 250cc motor to do that fairly inexpensively. fro mwhat ive heard the vibration was so bad it would cause numb arms and hands and almost instantly wearing out the rider . this blaster better have some tall -ass gearing and a extended swingarm cause the torque is what will really make that engine shine and make that short light frame point straight up under any kind of acceleration IMO .

yo u are one of the few , hopefully it doesnt start to cause trouble over time.
how many riding hours have yo u had this actually running your bike with the 500 motor installed ?oh ...and damn that thing is sweet, no matter how many times i see im still left impressed
