well im not sure if this will help your vib problem or not but i work out at an airport, and the engine mounts on an airplane are really thick rubber maybe you could use airplane engine mounts on your quad.

well, i apologize in advance guys, i'm finally back. i don't know what happened but i thought this post became non-existent until i started getting emails recently from replies....thanks to all! anyway, sent my motor out to Rage, it was completely rebuilt, ported, balanced, worked, etc, etc...had to upgrade the carb and a bunch of other stuff. It is a BEAST to start with all the compression but it was worth it, dyno'ed at 71.7 hp on race gas . man does it rip! breaks the wheels loose in every gear on the road! but still vibrates ...a LOT better, but still vibration. Now it is winter here and really frikin cold, so its put away at the moment, BUT before I put it away we found one MAJOR problem causing vibration. Because its set up for MX I have +3's +1's a-arms on the front with extended tie rods to match....when you rev the thing sitting on it the tie rods vibrate like a tuning fork! like an inch either way, its crazy! You can definitely feel it throughout the whole bike...so first things first, as soon as I break it out i'm putting beefed up tie rods on it to see if this solves my problem (or at least disconnect them and run it), i know it is going to help so i'm really anxious. I will definitely keep you guys posted now! And yes I realize I promised you guys pics (like a year ago) so I will get them up too. It looks sick.

how long do you ride before the vibs get to you and you want to take a break? have you tried rubber mounting the stem and putting silicone in the handle bars?

I can only put up with the jackhammer for 20-30 minutes but only had a few times to ride it since i've gotten it back. The steering stem is already rubber mounted top and bottom and i've tried filling the handlebars with a few materials with no success. Anything soft or semi-solid isn't enough to do any dampening. The best success as far as bars go are the weighted ends made for vibration...they did make a little improvement. As far as the tie rods, the ones I am using are thin because they don't need to be very thick on any other application....I am planning on going with a larger diameter and hopefully should see some improvement.

The vibration doesnt happen on a bike, even on a trike. The problem ocures when that damn 4th wheel touches the ground lol
