Well, That all depends. I am currently trying to get a figure together but as you can see I have well over $10k invested. Mind you there is over $2500 of Elka/JRD suspension on the quad but I can take that off and keep it. I'd probably be asking between 6-7k complete and as is, but again no suspension(I keep the+3 a-arms but the swingarm stays) and the price just dropped $2500. Everything on this is new! Think it's a reasonable asking price?

Heres mine all together. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Im sorry but that pipe is about as ugly as the come. Im going to go to a oof drag pipe and see how things go. Also mine is in a EX chassis isnt yours a R?

Way to pick on my pipe dude lol. It looks like any other pipe to me. I guess you don't like the coating, but its Jet-Hot so when yours turns to rust mine will still be shiny and pretty. Doesn't matter to me though cause it was built right by guys that do it all the time and that's why I've had no problems with cracks or broken mounts. To answer your question tho, yea, my frame is based off of the 250r geometry.

Any pipe on a 500 Has to be rubber mounted at ALL the points. I've got mine mounted in 3 places, 2 of them rubber mounted and the 3rd one was a solid mount because I couldn't find another rubber one. Guess which one broke with about 10 minutes of ride time? The solid one. I wrapped a piece of 1/8in steel around the pipe there and then welded the tab back on. Guess which one broke at 45minutes ride time? The solid mount. The rubberized ones are still fine and holding up great, no cracks or stress marks at all. I lightened my piston up a lot, by removing about a 1/8th inch from the top of the dome (yes, I realize this isn't exactly a common practice or inline with conventional wisdom on 2 stroke engines, and I'm fully aware of how it changes the squish and other oddities) and the low RPM vibration on my engine is almost completely gone, barely more then a counter balanced 250R motor. Now when you really wind it out, it still shakes but NOTHING like it use to. http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s...8/P1010024.jpg Last edited by HondaATC; 04-17-2008 at 02:37 AM.

Hey guys, well the time has come to see my baby go bye-bye. Anyone who is looking to by one of the baddest and SUCCESSFUL TRX500r's they will ever see, keep an eye out on Ebay as of this weekend. I will be listing the whole quad complete less shocks. If anyone interested wants it, PM me with a REASONABLE offer, also while it is listed on Ebay I can make arrangements to sell it cheaper without certain parts. If the reserve doesn't get met, I will be parting it out. If you want to see it go back to page 7 of this thread and check out the pics, also check throughout the thread for specs, this thing was dyno'd at 70hp! I will be back before the weekend with a long list of everything on it.
