A simple trick I used was getting some thick foam grips that the streetbike guys run. Cut down the vibes quite a bit.

i heard that people have filled their handle bars with silicon to reduce vibe, I have had no personal experience with it though (I will try soon probably). I am also having a major vibe problem with my trx500, except mines ridged mounted, im going to try to make or find some rubber mounts, was there any other things you did to get rid of vibe? what did you fill your steering stem with? right now its useless to drive, its even hard on the feet...

Default TRX500 vibe issue

Is the motor a rebuild or is it factory stock, I have been building motors for a while an dI have found if you mix and match different year counter balancers by mistake or they are marked wrong from where you buy them you can get very very bad vibrating motors. the dots that you use to line up the gears are not in the proper place when they years are different.

There are no counterbalancers on the CR500 motor. I filled my bar with lead BB's and siliconed the ends closed. It helped some.

I think the best way to reduce vibration on that motor would be to balance the crankshaft with the connecting rod and piston, which for me would have to be professionally done and probably expensive. Lucky for me the CR480 motor doesn't vibrate as bad

Bar slugs, fat bars, fill the frame/bars with MONO foam, balance/weld the crank, flywheel weight and gel grips.

If you can't stand it after that, sell it and buy something with a counterbalancer.

whats up iaknown! If you havent already come up with your quick fix this might help!Try out some fairly new handlebars by a company called FASSTCO. They're a 3or4pc. bar w/urethane bushing inserts.I know 2 guys that have them, they look a little spacey but seem to work!Bit pricey too( like 300.)I have a tecate w/ a kx500 and before the crank was balanced i usually used a bottle of the red loctite every ride!(always missing nuts & bolts). Also if the bend of the pipe is off where it starts out the cyl. you might be getting pressure waves disrupting the flow of gases trying to escape causing even WORSE vibration!I used to see my nuts falling off all the time when i would start the damn thing!! pun not intended! Hope it helps!!
