Torquey bikes are fun. I mean if all you do is race then get a high-rev top-end pipe, but if you want to ride your quad around the trails then a mid and low-end torque pipe is the way to go.
Don't think a big bore 2 stroke with a torque pipe can't be fast.

Yeah tru Paulie but after playin with pipes for the yz490 bike im workin on,i learned a lot especially about header length.Mine has all kinds of torque but its not fast.Maybe im missing the top end over rev of a 250...

Well I can't say I wouldn't like a lil more over-rev myself.
For my YZ400 I don't think I ever get it to rev out like a 250- drag pipe or not.
There's just too much size & weight swingin around in there.

That maybe true but those dirt track guys would get the air cooled yzs to scream...once they put the shifter on the right side..

my uncle has a cr500 and he said hes heard of filling the handlebars with silicone. it wont stop the motor from vibrating but if your trying to help your hands this is good i hear

I heard of putting weight in the bars as well.I guess they used to make a bar snake back in the day for bikes with bad vibes..
