i just got a 01 raptor 660r. me and my dad took them out on the road and ran them. my LT250R killed the raptor. but i would have to say the raptor is a awsome wheelie machine.

1991 suzuki lt250r quadracer, with 40 over wiseco piston and rings, v-force delta 2 reeds, answer roost boost, fmf gold series fatty pipe, port and polish, shredders front and back. its also has alot of extras here and there and i know im forgetting something. so that vs. a stock 2001 yamaha raptor 660r limtied edition with 12 tooth front sproket and holeshots front and back.

Plus being a good rider helps quite a bit when you are racing. Ive noticed that a lot of people that think they have fast four strokes are shitty riders.

Ive never raced any raptors only 450s and the 450 quads werent slow just the riders were not any good. My 250 only has a fmf gold series pipe, and a kickass rider lol jk

(offtopic) but a kid down the road has a trx450r or what ever it is and it will do about 90 and pull wheelies in any gear and he has over 10grand in to it too...

he should have put that 10grand into a banshee and he would have had a faster bike, plus some money left over to buy another quad
