Question missing ring, should i find it?

I have a 1986 Cr 80R, i was in 6th gear wide open ( lol 75-80 Klm) and it died out, the problem is the ring broke ( minor dammage to the cylinder). i cant find all the pieces, its not in the ports, theres not much missing, but should i still find the rest of it? it is in the case somewhere i bet, can i ride it as is with a new piston/rings?

Its most likely in the sides or bottom of the crank. Id definatly find it, its going to get dislodged & break your new top end.

Split the cases, its not as hard as you think. New gaskets = 30 bucks. New top end, crank, and possibly cases = more than the bike is worth
