why is this bike running rich!? Its crazy

Ok, this is the worst bike on earth.

Its a KTM200exc but that is really by the way as its something generic. I've just missed or I'm not thinking of. I've done the following to try to stop this @#$ thing from running stupidly rich (in that order),

re-jetted three sizes under what is recommended for this altitude

replaced reeds (boyesen)

replaced right crankshaft seal (thought it could be gearbox oil and the insane fuel consumption was normal)

top end rebuild


wtf is left!! I've done everything! It still runs like a dog, bellows smoke, spooges all over the place. chews through fuel and totally stinks of raw fuel.

The choke seems to be sealing and pulling it on just stalls the bike. I was thinking maybe needle valve not seating but you would think you would see it run out the overflow unless its just leaking a little and not getting out the overflow but it doesn't leave a drop if the tap is left on.

Thats it. I'm out of ideas and almost out of patience. First ktm I've played with. I'm not liking it.

Its a carb issue for sure. Take it easy on the bike, man. KTM's are good machines.
