anything i should look for on a 2001 kx 250 when buying it?

Make sure it runs and test ride it. Look the engine over for any noticable leaks or damage to the cases. Check the condition of the sprockets and chain. If it takes more than 5 kicks to start and stay running negotiate the price as either it needs a topend or carb cleaning. See if you can remove and look at the plug.

make sure powervalve is still is good working order.. on the Kx's you'll know when the powervalve is in need of maintenence.

wiggle the back wheel make sure wheel bearings are good, front forks arent bent ..fork seals.. rear shock is good ..

02 yamaha blaster rebuilt one completely, and he just sold it...... maybe he will jump on here and give some tips....
