I'd like to see a tecate4 running 85 mph in an 1/8! There is only one tecate I can think of that would even come close to that and its making close to 70 rwhp on alky

BTW I know a guy with an 87 tecate3 with a very healthy kx 500 engine on alky and this guy launches like a bullet but he is no where close to 90 mph

I was only going by memory on those times and MPH's. I dug around through the assorted time slips and i have a tad bit of editing to do, i was still pretty close though going by memory haha.

87 250R - 4.79 at 64MPH in 300ft of dirt and 7.86 at 83MPH in an 1/8th. On 111 Race Gas.

85 LT250R - 8.31 at 79MPH in an 1/8th. On Alky.

86 LT250R - 8.25 at 80MPH in an 1/8th. On Alky.

99 Banshee - 4.73 at 64MPH in 300ft of dirt and 8.18 at 80MPH in an 1/8th. 111 Race Gas.

88 Tecate4 - 8.03 at 85MPH in an 1/8th. On Alky.

86 Tecate3 - 7.73 at 88MPH in an 1/8th. KX500 motor on Alky, regular motor ran 7.90's on Alky.

All i will tell you about the motors of these bikes is that they are heavily ported by my dad and myself, piston mods, 250R has 265PV cylinder and 4mm stroker crank. Tons of work to the clutch area on the LT's and all of them run FTZ drag pipes. I cant share all my secrets but we experiment a lot and we know how to make a bike fly on the pavement.

As of now we only have 4 bikes together, the banshee, T4 (fixing to be tore down and rebalance the crank), T3, and the 250R. The rest are waiting to be put back together when we get the time.

I'll tell you this... I'm skeptical! But that doesn't mean it didn't happen. Those are some bad ass tecate's if the times and speeds are accurate. You may look into shearers (SP?) pipes. They are a lot nicer pipes than the FTZ pipes.

We have a few Shearer pipes for Tecates, 2 i think, and they actually ran better on the LT's rather than the Tecates. We are also running Wicked pipes on the Banshee, but there for 535cc and bigger and they're kinda killing the motor on top end. We've owned just about every brand drag pipe made and we've decided to stick with FTZ because almost all of the other brands are based off them.

If you're skeptical, you can come to Moulton Drag Strip in North Alabama any given sunday and I should be there with my 250R and a bunch of freinds will prolly be there with there bikes.

My shee with bolt ones and a shitty driver(me) did a 9.3 @ 71mph in the 1/8th.
http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fusea...ideoid=8865855

No way a shee with bolt ons could do low 8ths like that. Sure if you soup it up it could do that with ease and even lower. Shit i seen a cub do 6.8 friday in the 1/8th. Talk about amazing to see!

Like my thread said, with all the port work etc i ran a 9.7 @ 74mph spinning till somewhere in 4th gear. All in all, asphalt or any drag racing is freakin fun. I wish i had the money and room in the shed to build/afford a drag only shee.
